AREVA Fondation donates vital equipment to the central hospital of Dornogovi aimag

French "AREVA" group donated the full laparoscopic equipment and completely new equipment for the ophthalmological diagnostics room to the central hospital of Dornogovi aimag. The ceremony of handing the donation took place at the hospital on November 15 of this year.

Therefore, the capacity of the hospital on the aimag level significantly increases and Dornogovi has the distinction of being the first among all aimags to first have the opportunity of administering professional laparoscopic surgeries. So the residents of this aimag are able to undergo laparoscopic surgeries and eye diagnostics in their region without having to incur the loss of time and money by traveling to the city of Ulaanbaatar.

Governor of Dornogovi aimag P. Gankhuyag, representative of the Ministry of Healthcare, acting director of the Sainshand hospital B. Nyamgerel, general director of "AREVA Mongol" LLC and "Cogegobi" LLC Thierry Plaisant, regional integration specialist of "AREVA" group Adama Hamani, member of "Actions Mongolie" NGO and technical side participant Rene Fritsch, deputy director of state owned "Mon-Atom" LLC N. Nyamgarav and general manager of "Mitsubishi" corporation's resident representative office H. Yoshinori were present at the ceremony event.

General director of "AREVA Mongol" LLC and "Cogegobi" LLC Thierry Plaisant wished the doctors of the central Dornogovi hospital to cure and save the lives of many people with the help of this equipment that has been given with the best wishes from the hearts of all AREVA.

"AREVA" group spent 257 400 000 MNT on this medical equipment and French society "Actions Mongolie" trained on its own expense the staff of the hospital on how to use the equipment.

Striving to contribute to the healthcare sector of Dornogovi aimag, "AREVA Mongol" and "Cogegobi" have been providing the financial assistance to several projects including the donation of a fully equipped ambulance car and the encephalographic equipment.
